This can be great fun and Shape2fit offers a wide range of both exercise classes and dance classes to help you get fit and active but most of all, enjoy yourself while you do it
Ballet Classes: Ballet is a great way to stay in shape. Relive your childhood or increase your knowledge from what your children are learning. Adult Ballet ensures you stand and dance with positive, correct posture and shows you technique and alignment control.
Barre concept: Mixing Ballet, Pilates, Yoga and strength conditioning creates a high energy, high impact cardio classes that targets all areas and muscle groups to combat fat cells and tone the body in a new exciting unique way.
Body conditioning: Raise your heart rate up to 174 BPM by just using your own body weight. This class includes a range of activities and exercises to create a strengthened and toned physique.
Body toning circuits class: The body toning circuits class incorporates a range of different stations of exercises in a circuit format targeting those problem areas of legs, bums and tums. Strengthen and tone your body by working hard in short intervals to define the shape you want. This class is tailored to your individual style, pace and level of fitness so is ideal for beginners. Get the shape you have always wanted.
Boxing Classes: Boxing incorporated punching, kicking and thumping to increase endurance. Get rid of the stress with a good solid cardio workout, raising your heart rate up to 186 BPM.
Core Training Classes: The core class is based on Pilates principles and uses a lot of the traditional poses and exercises within the set up but works deeper into the abdominal muscles and core areas. It is not recommended for anyone who has back injuries.
Dance fusion Classes: Salsa, Hip-Hop, Street Jazz is all included in this class. It incorporates a great deal of different styles, combining them to create a great aerobic routine which is then combined with strength conditioning that will make you practice all week until your back learning something new.
Fitness day: A combination of all day exercising. Up to nine 45 min exercise classes throughout the day (10am-5pm) with sports massage, expert advice, Aloe Vera and protein shakes available and a FREE goody bag for when you leave. Have a look at the group exercise timetable for our next fitness day. The average calorie count burnt for the these days is 2,400.
Hula hoop: This class will have your hula hula-ring to a great set of abs in no time, it pushes your abs in circler motions to increase the strain placed upon them so its a great core workout class. The average calorie count during this class is 250!
Mother and baby Pilates Classes: Popular Pilates class which you can bring your children with you to play with our soft blocks and other toys in a safe environment while you exercise. The children do not participate in the class, this class is intended for the mothers to perform the class whilst the children play. Pilates works to create all over well being.
Legs, Bums and Little ones: Popular body toning circuits class which you can bring your children with your to play with our soft blocks and other toys while you exercise. Improve your health and fitness, mind and body knowing that your children are safe.
Kettle bells Classes: Kettle bells are weights with the belly of the weight further away from the body with the use of a handle, this increases the load placed on the body. By participating in this class, your heart rate can soar towards 180 BPM.
Outdoor fitness Classes: From the clinic, you will run down to the local green space and complete a series of activities similar to those found in the body toning circuits class which will increase muscle tone and loose unwanted fat. Please note this class doesn’t run over the winter months.
Pilates Classes: This class is designed for those who would like to start getting to grips with the basic fundamentals of Pilates and core exercising. Pilates works the body and mind simultaneously to create all round well being. Exercises are tailored to the group of participants. Although this is a gentler class, your heart rate still increases to over 100 BPM.
Pilates Beginners class: If you are completely new to core exercising and the principles of Pilates, we suggest you book this one to one class so that you can have the experience with one of our trainers to get to grips with the fundamentals before you begin our group classes. These basic principles are often overlooked within the group format and so you may feel left behind without coming to grips with it all first. This class only needs to be taken once and is an introduction into group classes.
Personal training group: Ever thought about taking up personal training but cant justify the expense? The PT group allows you to experience a tailored session with up to three other participants for a fraction of the normal price.
Yoga Classes: Yoga is a tool with many benefits which in turn, aim to create a sense of well being, strengthen the core and practice many of the popular yoga positions
Zumba Classes: Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Zumba creates fun dance routines, to popular and more traditional music whilst gradually increasing the speed and tempo
The class price list is within the timetable starting from only £4.50 All classes need to be booked. BPM and calorie counts are estimates when the instructor was wearing a heart rate monitor.
